Apprenticeship entry requirements
To be an eligible candidate for this apprenticeship, you must be at least 16 years of age and have the relevant qualifications in English and Maths. Candidates who do not currently hold these qualifications will need to achieve this before completing their apprenticeship.

Role expectations
- All your work must be carried out safely, meeting the exacting quality standards.
- Manufacturing activities must be performed on multiple products with different specifications consecutively.
- You will be required to complete manufacturing operations, following manufacturing processes and standard operating procedures whilst adhering to health and safety procedures.
- You will maintain Health and Safety requirements at all times.
- You will be required to support improvement in manufacturing operations using lean principles and problem-solving tools and techniques.
- You will be responsible for carrying out quality checks throughout the manufacturing operations.
- You will work with stakeholders and establish clear reporting lines.
What you will learn on the apprenticeship
The Lean Manufacturing Operative apprenticeship course consists of planned learning sessions, workplace visits, on and off-the-job training and 1 to 1 coach support.
Upon completion of your apprenticeship, you will have the following knowledge:
- The understanding of the relevant statutory, organisational and health and safety regulations.
- The understanding of the environmental compliance procedures.
- The roles and responsibilities within the organisation and the requirements to deliver products to meet customer demands.
- The manufacturing standard operation procedures adherence and development of lean processes
- Process equipment, data collection, error proofing and operating procedures monitoring.
- The ability and understanding to identify ways to improve the safety, quality, cost or process efficiency.
- How to share information using a range of methods within the manufacturing environment.
- The ability and understanding to maintain a safe and efficient work site through workplace organisation
